SENIOR LEAGUE DIVISION 3

The Senior League Division 3 Competition kicked off on the 20th of March with an away fixture against Calry/St. Josephs. Enniscrone/Kilglass ran out winners on a scoreline of1-7 to 0-4. A home win was secured on the 28th of March against Tourlestrane. The Game ended Enniscrone/Kilglass 2-12 to Tourlestraunes 1-5. After round 2 of the league Enniscrone/Kilglass are the only team to have won their first two games and they sit on top of the table.

The rearranged fixture for the Intermediate team took place last Sunday evening at home against Curry. Played in sun blessed conditions, the visitors got off to a flying start with a goal and a point. Enniscrone responded through the excellent contributions from the likes of Mark Gordon and Shaun Cawley in defence. The latter contributing a brace of excellent individual solo run scores either side of the half time whistle. This was typical of the dominance that evolved for the home side despite going behind early.Stephen Kavanagh had an excellent game contributing 1-2 to his sides tally. Donal Kavanagh was the scorer of the other goal for the home team. Curry kept on plugging away and managed to score 2 goals (1 penalty) in the last 10 minutes.Enniscrone/Kilglass held on for the win and will be happy with the result, treating it as a work in progress
.
 Our Senior Team dropped their first points by drawing at home on a scoreline of 0-8 to 0-8. Despite this slight back they remain in 2nd place behind St Farnan’s.
The game between Enniscrone and St. Michaels will be replayed again after the game was abandoned due to an injury.

Enniscrone drew with St. Farnans in a game where they were unlucky to draw. The game finished 0-10 a piece.
Enniscrone beat Calry on a scoreline of 2-4 v 0-8 but unfortunatly suffered their first loss against a Tourlestrane boosted by the fact they had many of their senior team available to play.

On 30 May Enniscrone Defeated Curry on a scoreline of 4-13 to 0-7.
Two losses ruled Enniscrone out of the running to win the league these game against Coolaney and St.Pats. This was followed by a draw to Coolaney and a win and a loss to St.Michaels.

Minor Team

The Enniscrone/Kilglass Minor team lost to St.Farnans in the opening match of the Division 2A League. The team unfortunatly lost on a score line of 2-13 to 2-6. The second round provided a walk-over to Enniscrone as St.Micheals forfeited the game. The minor team played friday 23rd April against St.Pats, the game finished a draw at a score to Enniscrone 0-15 v 2-9St.Pats. The Minors comfortably beat Ballymoate/Bunninnadan away from home on a scoreline of 4-10 to 1-12. The team is now currently 3rd in the league.

The Minor team will play in the County Championship Final Shamrock Gaels on 3rd October in Markievicz Park
